The journey continues with Respighi’s Pines of Rome, vividly portraying the city’s pine groves from sunlit gardens to ancient roads.

D. Brubeck/C. Brubeck Ansel Adams: America

  • Photographs by Ansel Adams are projected alongside the music, allowing audiences to experience the images and orchestral score together.
  • It combines elements of classical music with jazz influences, reflecting Dave Brubeck’s musical style.
  • Celebrates American landscapes, history, and culture through music.

Respighi Pines of Rome 

  • Composed in 1924.
  • Depicts four different groups of pine trees in and around Rome at different times of day.
  • Famous for its powerful finale, which portrays a marching Roman army and uses one of the largest orchestras of its time.
