ROMANCE & FIRE IS SPONSORED IN DEDICATION TO DR. WACHTANG “BOTSO” KORISHELI, FOUNDER OF THE SLO YOUTH SYMPHONY.
“Botso was an incredibly impactful person in my life. He listened to me when I was just 11 years old, believed in me, and saw the potential in my talent. Thanks to him, I had the opportunity to fly to the US and perform with the SLO Symphony at such a young age. That experience was my first connection to the US, which later grew into the motivation and desire to pursue my studies at Juilliard. I honestly don’t know where I would be without him.
I was fortunate to have a few lessons with him, but even more than that, I was lucky to know his story, his character and to be inspired by a man who had overcome so many obstacles, built an incredible legacy, nurtured a beautiful family, and inspired countless artists like me. Knowing him was a privilege, and I am deeply grateful to be among the many who will cherish his memory.” – Salome Jordania
