No Ties Allowed

Open rehearsals are a fun, casual, and engaging way to experience the Symphony. Get a sneak peek behind the scenes as Music Director Andrew Sewell leads the orchestra in a working rehearsal.

No Ties Allowed takes place at 11 AM the day of each main stage concert, at the Performing Arts Center San Luis Obispo. Be part of a truly unique experience that lets you see exactly what it takes for an orchestra to master a piece of music.

This is a free event, open to the public, and meant for all ages of music lovers! You do not need a ticket, just show up to the PAC and enjoy this truly unique experience. Parking is free, too!

Schedule

Attending No Ties Allowed is very flexible. If you need to arrive late or leave early, it’s easy.

  • 10:30am arrive and park
  • 10:40am visit the Instrument Petting Zoo
  • 11:00am first half of the rehearsal
  • 12:00pm intermission
  • 12:15pm second half of the rehearsal
  • 1:00pm No Ties ends
